The illuminating sky that goes hand in hand with Guy Fawkes Night is the quintessential winter experience. With most parks in and around London holding fireworks displays we’ve narrowed down a few options that we think will not disappoint.
Battersea Park Fireworks
With food stalls, a bar serving mulled wine and a display of pyrotechnics set to music this is meant to be one of the best spots in London on Bonfire Night. Head to Queenstown Rd, London, SW11 4NJ.
Not only is there a funfair to go with your night of fireworks but this event is in aid of local causes and charities. Head to Kempton Park Racecourse, Staines Road East, Sunbury on Thames, Middlesex, TW16 5AQ.
Leeds Castle Fireworks
There’ll be an afternoon of entertainment in the grounds of the castle, followed by a fireworks finale set to music inspired by outer space. Head to Leeds Castle, Maidstone, Kent, ME17 1PL.
Thorpe Park Fireworks 2011: Blow It Up
This theme park celebrated Guy Fawkes Night by burning effigies of celebrities, with fire-breathers, and fireworks displays set to music. The park also stays open late so visitors can go on the rollercoaster at night. Head to Thorpe Park, Staines Rd, Surrey, Chertsey, KT16 8PN.
